Kerr Mackie is a large and thriving primary school in the Roundhay area of Leeds. Breakfast School Club Play Worker

Payscale: A1/B1, point 2

Hours: Term Time Only – 38 weeks. 10 hours per week working Mon-Fri, 7.00am - 9.00am.

Fixed term in the first instance from as soon as possible to 31st August 2026

We are seeking to appoint a Play Worker for our breakfast club wrap around facility.  The post holder will support the Manager and the team in ensuring that high quality childcare, within a positive, safe and happy environment, is provided for pupils in line with the policies and procedures of the service and the School. You will be required to work with children from Early Years up to Year 6, some with additional needs.

 The successful candidate will:

  • Be committed to the provision of high quality support for learning within the club, including through small group 1-1 intervention.
  • Be creative and able to inspire friendships and games with groups
  • Have a caring and positive nature
  • Be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Be committed to high standards of behaviour
  • Be a confident and successful team player
  • Be able to form excellent relationships with children, staff and families
  • Have a sense of fun, enthusiasm, initiative and drive.
